Patches/Upgrades

  • Sample update (Version 1.1) for the Steinmeyer organ in Marktoberdorf
This update contains the following changes:
    1) For the direct channel a slight filtering was applied to compensate a small frequency bump between 5 and 15 kHz inherent in the microphones used for the recording. In the original release there was some sharpness especially in the high pitched samples, which was due to that frequency bump and is now reduced.
    2) The ODF settings for the short and medium releases have been optimized. During the recording key-presses and -releases had been accurately stored and have now been used to optimize the release timing values in the definition file. At the same time the level of the short and medium releases has been reduced slightly. With this change the short releases sound even more natural and some overly strong sounding staccato releases, which were due to the non-optimal ODF settings, are significantly improved.
    3) The sliders to control the level of direct and ambient sound have been switched and relabeled, at the same time the default setting for the direct channels has been reduced to about 30%. The direct channels are now labeled "dry" and the ambient channels "listener perspective". This makes it more clear to the users what sound to expect. The new default setting is now chosen to better match the average users expectations.
    4) Unfortunately the organID of the sample set also needed to be changed, since the one originally used one (1244) belonged to another sample set produced and has already been used. If you are upgrading from the previous version, you will loose all settings for this set and also stored combination files will be lost.

Since this update is a completely new version no special update links are provided here. You can simply download the set completely from the links provided in the product information.

  • Sample update (Version 1.4) and new medium version for the Oberlinger organ in Bonn Beuel
This update fixes one sample of the Grand Orgue Gamba 8'. The patch to be downloaded is rather small and patches two data packages.
Download for patch file: Patch 1.4
The ODFs for the new medium version of this sample set can be downloaded here: ODFs medium version 1.4

  • Update (Version 1.4) for the Oberlinger organ in Bonn Beuel
This update extends the sample set with two new stops on the Positiv: Bourdon 16' and Salicional 8'. These stops are derived from the existing samples and hence only the organ definition file (ODF) needs to be updated. The Bourdon 16' works as an acoustic bass in the bottom octave, i.e. it plays at 5 1/3' pitch.
In addition the update adds a "french symphonic" voicing provided by organist and organ expert Wolfram Syré. This voicing does not try to reproduce the voicing of the original instrument faithfully, but to use the available material to make the Oberlinger organ sound as "french" as possible. The update provides two ODFs, one with the original voicing and one with the new french symphonic voicing, as a direct switching between these voicings within Hauptwerk is not possible. To switch between voicings you will have to reload the organ using the corresponding ODF. All your settings for the sample set will remain intact, however, Hauptwerk will regenerate the cache for the sample set each time you switch between voicings this way.

Note: This update requires update 1.3 to be installed!

  • Update (Version 1.3) for the Oberlinger organ in Bonn Beuel
This update was necessary to prepare the DVD release of the sample set. The 1.2 version was just slightly too large to fit on four DVDs, so a little trimming was used on some samples to make it fit. In addition some graphics changes have been made, mainly moving the Chamade couplers to the coupler row on the bottom. The scaling of the release samples of the ambient channels has also been changed very slightly.

  • Patch (Version 1.6) for the Alfred Führer organ of Riddagshausen (Germany).
This patch fixes two faulty samples of the Vox Humana that were out of tune when played with tremulant on.

  • Patch (Version 1.5) for the Alfred Führer organ of Riddagshausen (Germany).
This patch fixes some samples that had a crackling sound in them. The patch is for both the trial and licenced version.
In addition the patch also fixes an ODF bug causing the Nasard to play at a wrong pitch in tempered tunings. The fixed ODF is only contained for the trial version, please contact us to obtain this fix for the licenced version.
If you are only using the free MINI-Version of this sampleset, please install this patch instead.
NOTE: If you downloaded the sampleset AFTER September 3rd 2012, you do not need to install any of the above patches.

  • Patch (Version 1.5) for the Baumhoer organ of Bielefeld-Stieghorst (Germany).
This patch fixes a small voicing irregularity of the Doublette 2'.
Please note that this patch is for the trial version only. If you have a licensed copy of this sample set please send us an e-mail and we will mail you the update file.

  • Patch (Version 1.4) for the Baumhoer organ of Bielefeld-Stieghorst (Germany).
This patch fixes two broken samples. The patch includes the previous (1.3, incorrect image on right touchscreen page+1.2, some release samples) patches.
  • Patch (Version 1.1) for the Grosshartmannsdorf Silbermann organ.
This patch fixes some minor sample issues in the original version. These are mostly related to extra release markers in the samples, which did not cause any harm, but might potentially interfere with specific Hauptwerk release handling settings. Also some very small audible artefacts were removed. If your version of the sample set already includes this patch, there will be a small version number shown in the lower right corner of the organ screen. If your set shows this number, then you won't need to install the patch.

  • Patch (Version 1.2) for the Schyven/Van Bever organ of Notre-Dame de Laeken.
This patch fixes an image error that caused a stop label to change when the stop was activated.

  • Patch (Version 1.2) for the Small Edition of the Schyven/Van Bever organ of Notre-Dame de Laeken.
This patch fixes a sample that had an audible click (Fourniture middle-C). In addition the switching logic for the Gambe and Céleste stops has been changed, since the Céleste samples already include the Gambe. Pulling the Céleste will now also pull the Gambe, and at the same time mute the Gambe samples from Tenor-C on, so that the correct tonal balance is preserved.
Please note that this patch is for the trial version only. If you have a licensed copy of this sample set please send us an e-mail and we will mail you the update file.
